Species-specific music was first made public by Professor Charles T. Snowdon at a conference on non-human mammalian vocalizations in Hanover, Germany. The first phase of the research that Dr. Snowdon and David Teie were performing at that time was outlined in this keynote address and was enthusiastically received. The testing is now complete and the paper that was co-authored by Charles Snowdon and David Teie was published in the journal Biology Letters of the Royal Society in September of 2009.
